The Keynote Address of Dwayne Alexander Smith

at the 2015 Black Authors & Readers Rock Weekend. Since he was a teenager, Dwayne has been in pursuit of a dream to be a Hollywood director. He started writing screenplays in an attempt to earn enough money to finish his first feature film. About four years go, between screen writing jobs, he decided to write Forty Acres. To his surprise and delight it found a home at Aria Books and he went to win the 2015 NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Literary Work - Debut Author.
